Mindful Movement Classes for Kids &Teens
Term 2 2025
Nurturing mindful movement classes for youth, designed for stress release & body-mind strengthening. Kids & teens will explore the benefits of breathing, strengthening, stretching and resting for better health and wellbeing.
Do you want your child to learn easy exercises to calm their minds and relax their bodies? And Powerful practices to strengthen body and mind?
Do you want your child to learn simple and proven mindfulness and breathing techniques that help for everyday living such as concentrate and focus in school, on homework or assignments and ease anxiety and stress?
Kids’ classes
In a playful way, kids get the opportunity to explore their bodies, minds and breath in a noncompetitive and nonjudgmental environment. They will learn powerful tools to connect to their bodies and identify feelings and emotions.
Children will learn simple techniques, such as breathing, movement and mindfulness practices that help them be with these feelings and emotions. Through mindful movement combined with easy breath exercises kids are enabled to release stress and excess energy from their bodies while strengthening and stretching at the same time.
Through games and partner work children not only learn to connect to themselves but also to each other and the group.
Children will also learn how to relax and rest, many children are tired from long and demanding days at school, homework and extra-curricular activities and our relaxations during and at the end of class are a perfect way to let go of tension and stress
What to expect
Teens classes
In our youth yoga classes teens get the opportunity to center and move in a wholesome way and to rest & relax body and mind, away from daily demands and technology.
Many teenagers have a demanding and busy lifestyle these days, navigating school and studies with work, social life and other activities as well as being “on” 24/7 through social media and screens.
Coming regularly to a nurturing yoga class, designed for adolescence that are experiencing many changes in that time, can make a big difference in their life’s.
Classes are themed with topics relevant to teens lives, and they will learn valuable and powerful tools to support their mental and physical health. Classes are intuitive and flexible so teens can be supported with what they need on the day.
All classes are taught by Kerstin, certified kids and teens yoga teacher and registered yoga teacher with Yoga Australia.
